Vegas Baby! Part Two

The second phase of our Las Vegas Adventure saw us travel up the strip, towards the posh hotels. By this time we were pretty tired, it had been 5 days of late nights, alcoholic beverages, and lots and lots of walking. The strip is just too damn huge. But here is what we got up to during our final couple of days in Vegas.

Buffets, damn they're good. So good and so cheap they are hard to resist. And after you see the next photo, more so the desert portion of this buffet, I think you will completely understand. This was my desert plate at one of the buffets. Amazing.

Lauren's "I want hot fudge" face. When it manifested, I had to succumb.
This was our room in the Venetian. As it turns out, there are no standard rooms in the Venetian, only 'Suites''. But as you can see, that was completely fine with us. It meant we had a step down living room with a 40' TV and a wrap around couch. Not only that, but we had a small dinner table, and even a desk with its own printer! It was crazy. Ohh yeh, there was also a TV in the bathroom, just in case you needed to watch that vital TV when in the show or tub. You cant get much better than that.

Our very glamorous marble bathroom.

The canal inside the Venetian.

A shot of the Venetian from out the front.

The Mirage Hotel and its Volcano fire display (which obviously wasn't on during the day).

I Love Burgers, no, that was the name of the restaurant,. But yes, If you were wondering, I indeed love burgers.

They even had their own branding!

Yet another one of Kristian's mystery food plates at yet another delicious buffet. I am pretty sure this was at the Monte Carlo buffet which we visited twice because it was delicious and only $8.99 a person for brunch so you can't really go wrong.

Our biggest win in Vegas..... $13!

The Vegas strip.

The lobby inside Caesars Palace

The check in counter at Caesars Palace where some of the Hangover was filmed.

Just a cool snow dome in the room, with the main character from Absinthe, the show we saw a night or two ago.

During our stay we had to go and visit Gold & Silver Pawn shop, aka the pawn shop from the TV show Pawn Stars. Unlucky for us Chumlee and the other guys weren't in-store but it was cool to see none the less.

The place was disgusting, as you can read from the signs. And don't worry we didn't eat there! Their slogan was that they had the highest calorie count of any restaurant in America. Seriously. When you went in, they gave you white hospital gowns as bibs (inciting you were in the hospital dying, also complimented by the fact you were served by nurses).

During your stay in Vegas you have to check out Old Las Vegas Downtown. Its actually been completely roofed now as you can see below.

The massive roof that spanned the whole old strip.

The old casinos in old Vegas Downtown.

As we stopped off at a random bar, (for $2 Heineken bottles, can you believe it!), I kept Lauren amused by teaching her blackjack. As it turns out, she was really good at it. $1 lasted over 35 minutes, which at one point it turned into $7. It was nonsensical.

The Balloon at Paris.

The Volcano show out the front of the Mirage as described earlier.

Some statues inside the Forum shops in Caesars Palace

Taking it easy in Caesars Palace

Caesar himself, and as it turned out, he actually lived in Caesars palace in Las Vegas......

Our room in Caesars Palace. For some reason we nearly always manage to take photos of our nice hotel rooms after we have messed them up.

The front of Caesars palace.

The drop off section outside Caesars where more of the Hangover was filmed.
So that was it for Vegas. Damn we were there for a long time, but every day was different with all sorts of nonsensical things happening. But that's Vegas.

For everyone at home, family and friends, and those we've met on the road, Merry Christmas to you all. We hope you all have the time of your life and enjoy every moment of it.

Much love to all,
Kristian & Lauren.
