Flamin' Galah's, Torts & The Canucks

This post is more of a picture update, as we have access to a full blown computer and not our tablets.
Panorama shot of Vancouver City from Stanley Park
Like we were saying yesterday, Fred and Jill chauffeured us around stanley park to get a view of the gargantuan park. However, I think we arguably got a better view of Vancouver city as per the panorama shot above (click on the photo to see the full size).

The view from our room whilst yelling at the "Flamin' Galahs" (nightclub goers)
This photo has a kind of interesting story behind it. This is the view from our hostel window, pretty right? Yes, but the trouble is we did not realise it was a hangout spot for some homeless people. Don't get us wrong, we acknowledge homeless people, and do not look down upon them in any condecending way, quite the contrary. But when they bicker and argue for hours on end, not to mention after 11:30pm, just below our window, this has a tendency to stop being funny very quickly, and soon became frustrating. Thankfully after that had concluded, we were then greeted by party goers standing out the front of the nightclub across the alley way yelling and screaming! It honestly sounded like they were having their own little party in the alley below us, which tends to make sleeping a little difficult. As we were having such a hard time sleeping, we thought we'd have a little party of our own, in the form of speaking like Alf Stewart (home and away if you get that reference) to those damn flamin' Galah's below. Finally we got some rest that night...
Vancouver Canucks scrimmage puck drop
Only to wake up to THIS! HOOCCKKKEEYYYYY! It was Vancouver Canucks scrimmage, which is basically a free training session and game for all Canucks fans, us included. Our determination to get up early and line up just after 8am paid off, and rewarded us with 5th row seats, and damn it was worth it.

Lauren's second boyfriend ex NY Rangers coach, turned Vancouver coach John Tortorella.

The man you see above is John 'Torts' Tortorella, as per the caption, ex NY Rangers coach, in which we had watched a documentary on his coaching of such team. Lauren denies it being a crush, saying she 'likes his coaching style and the use of foul language', but I call it a full on love affair.
Lauren being a traitor being at another teams scrimmage.
This is lauren being a traitor, she felt pretty bad for watching another team play, but she weirdly enjoyed the experience.
Inside the Rogers Centre Vancouver
This is the view from one of the entries, our seats were 5th row from the front in the centre of the right section. We will be back here for Canucks Sharks tomorrow night in a similar seating position, only we will be in the 5th row in the section under where this photo was taken.

Tonight we are heading to G sports bar, touted as West Canada's best sports bar, and to our suprise there is a Philadelphia vs Toronto Maple Leafs game on so it will be a bit of a late night, and awesome fun watching lauren turn into a feral.

Also, we got our cell number which is 778-230-3482. So in case of emergency you all have the number, but I dont know the country code.

Hope everyone is well, and we will update tomorrow.
Kristian & Lauren. =)
